These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding contract between you and ShadiSunnah. Please read them carefully. By creating an account on ShadiSunnah, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and that you agree to be bound by them.
We have written these Terms to be as clear and readable as possible. Where legal language is necessary, we have explained what it means in plain terms. If anything is unclear, please contact us at support@shadisunnah.com before registering.
Throughout these Terms, the following words have the following meanings.
"Platform" means the website, features, and services available at www.shadisunnah.com
"We", "Us", and "Our" means ShadiSunnah, the operator of this platform
"You" means the person who creates and holds the account, that is the parent or guardian
"Profile Subject" means the adult son, daughter, or other family member for whom a profile is created
"Profile" means the matrimonial profile created on behalf of a Profile Subject
"Package" means the access tier you select, being Free, Standard, or Premium
"Connection Request" means a formal expression of matrimonial interest sent by one family to another through the Platform
"Content" means any text, images, documents, or other material you upload to the Platform
"Working Days" means Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in Pakistan
To register an account, you must meet all of the following requirements.
You must be at least 18 years of age. You must be a parent, guardian, sibling, or close family member of the Profile Subject. You must be acting genuinely on behalf of your family with the sincere intention of finding a marriage match. You must have the knowledge and consent of the Profile Subject before creating their profile. You must provide truthful, accurate, and complete information at registration and throughout your use of the Platform. You must possess a valid government issued identity document, being either a Pakistani CNIC or a valid Pakistani or international passport.
The person for whom a profile is created must meet all of the following requirements.
They must be at least 18 years of age at the time the profile is created. They must have given their knowledge and consent for their family to create and manage a profile on their behalf. They must be genuinely seeking marriage. They must not currently be married, and any previous marriage, divorce, or widowhood must be disclosed accurately on the profile.
The following persons are strictly and absolutely prohibited from using ShadiSunnah.
Any person under the age of 18. Any person who has previously been banned or suspended from the Platform. Any person creating a profile for someone without that person's knowledge or consent. Any person acting with fraudulent, dishonest, or malicious intent of any kind. Any person convicted of fraud, identity theft, deception, or any sexual offence under Pakistani law or the law of any other jurisdiction. Any person who has been found guilty of electronic crimes under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016.
We reserve the right to verify eligibility at any time and to terminate any account where we have reason to believe eligibility requirements are not or are no longer met.
Everything you provide during registration, including your name, email address, phone number, relationship to the Profile Subject, and identity document, must be accurate and truthful. Any material misrepresentation is a serious breach of these Terms and will result in immediate account termination. Where fraudulent documents have been submitted, we will report the matter to the Federal Investigation Agency and other relevant law enforcement authorities in Pakistan and elsewhere as appropriate.
Your account is your responsibility. You must choose a strong password that you do not use for any other service. You must never share your login credentials with any other person, including other family members. You must contact us immediately at support@shadisunnah.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation. You must log out of your account after each session, particularly when using shared or public devices.
Each family may hold only one account on ShadiSunnah. Creating additional accounts to circumvent profile limits, to avoid a ban or suspension, or for any other reason is strictly prohibited and will result in the permanent termination of all accounts associated with that family.
Every account must pass identity verification before any profile becomes publicly visible to other families. We manually review every submitted identity document. We reserve the right to reject documents that appear fraudulent, expired, altered, or unclear. Rejection of a document on these grounds does not entitle you to a refund.
Everything you put on a profile must be accurate, respectful, and appropriate for a serious matrimonial platform. Profiles must not contain any of the following.
False or exaggerated information of any kind. Contact information including phone numbers, email addresses, or social media handles placed in any text field. Sexually suggestive, explicit, or inappropriate images or language. Discriminatory, sectarian, racist, or religiously offensive language. Photographs of anyone other than the Profile Subject. Images taken from other matrimonial websites, social media profiles, or any other source without the consent of the person depicted. Commercial advertising of any product or service.
When your profile is approved and your package is active, other verified and logged in families on the Platform can see the Profile Subject's name, age, city, religion, education, profession, personal description, and profile photographs. Your personal contact information, phone number, email address, and identity documents are never visible to other families under any circumstances.
Your profile will automatically become hidden from search results in the following circumstances. You update sensitive fields such as name, date of birth, or religious information, in which case the profile will be reviewed again before going live. Your package expires. A report against your profile is upheld and is currently under investigation.
The Free package permits one profile. The Standard package permits up to three profiles. The Premium package permits up to five profiles.
ShadiSunnah's packages are one time purchases, not subscriptions. When you pay, you are purchasing access to the Platform's features for a defined period, typically 30 days for Standard and Premium. Nothing is automatically renewed or charged to your card without your initiation. When your package expires, you choose whether to renew.
Prices are shown in your local currency based on your location at the time of registration. Pakistani users are shown prices in Pakistani Rupees. UK users are shown prices in Pounds Sterling. UAE users are shown prices in UAE Dirhams. Saudi users are shown prices in Saudi Riyals. Prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable taxes.
All payments are processed by Stripe Inc., a globally certified payment processor. By making a payment, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service, available at stripe.com/legal. ShadiSunnah does not store your full card number, CVV, or complete card details at any point.
Our refund policy is set out in our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, refunds may be considered within 7 days of payment where you have not actively used the Platform. Refunds will not be issued after 7 days or where the Platform has been actively used during the paid period. Refunds will not be issued to accounts suspended or terminated for breaching these Terms. Where a technical failure on our side lasts more than 48 continuous hours, you may be entitled to a pro rated refund or package extension.
We may change our package prices at any time. For families with an active paid package, price changes will take effect at the point of their next renewal only. We will give you at least 30 days advance notice of any price increase by email.
The following conduct is not permitted under any circumstances.
Uploading any false, misleading, or fraudulent information of any kind. Impersonating any person or misrepresenting your relationship to a Profile Subject. Creating a profile for someone without their knowledge and genuine consent. Using the Platform for any commercial purpose, including advertising, solicitation, or promoting any product, service, or business. Sharing, screenshotting, downloading, or distributing photographs or personal information belonging to other families outside of the Platform. Attempting to contact other families through channels other than our connection system without their explicit consent and agreement. Sending harassing, threatening, abusive, or repeated unwanted connection requests to any family. Attempting to scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform using any automated means or software tool. Introducing any virus, malware, or malicious code to the Platform or its systems. Attempting to circumvent our security measures, identity verification process, or any IP based protections we have in place. Using the Platform in any manner that violates the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 of Pakistan, the Pakistan Penal Code, or any other applicable law in any jurisdiction from which you access the Platform.
We reserve the right to investigate any suspected breach of these Terms. We may, without prior notice and at our sole discretion, remove any content we consider to be in violation of these Terms. We may temporarily or permanently suspend or terminate any account. We may report any criminal activity to the Federal Investigation Agency Cybercrime Wing, the local police, or any other relevant authority. We may take legal action in any applicable jurisdiction for any loss or damage caused to ShadiSunnah or to other families on the Platform.
Sending a connection request is a formal expression of matrimonial interest. By using this feature, you acknowledge that the receiving family is under no obligation to accept your request. You must not send repeated or harassing requests to the same family. Acceptance of a connection request does not constitute any form of binding agreement between the families concerned. Any communication following an accepted connection must remain respectful, decent, and in keeping with the spirit of the Platform and Islamic values.
ShadiSunnah provides a platform that facilitates introductions between Muslim families who are genuinely seeking marriage. We are not a matchmaking agency, a marriage broker, or a legal intermediary between families.
We do not guarantee any specific number of matches, connection requests, or successful introductions. We do not verify any information beyond the identity document submitted at registration. We are not responsible for the conduct, character, honesty, or personal circumstances of any family on the Platform beyond what is documented in our verification process. We are not responsible for anything that happens between families after they have connected through the Platform.
We strongly recommend that all families conduct thorough and independent research and due diligence before making any matrimonial decision. Always meet with appropriate family members present, in a public setting, particularly for initial meetings.
The ShadiSunnah name, logo, platform design, compatibility algorithm, source code, and all content created by us are our exclusive intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of our Platform without our express written permission.
You own the content you upload to the Platform. By uploading it, you grant us a limited, non exclusive, royalty free licence to display and process it solely for the purpose of operating the Platform and providing the service to you. We will never sell, license, or commercially exploit your content or photographs.
You may close your account at any time by contacting support@shadisunnah.com or through your account settings. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund except in accordance with our Refund Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time where we have reasonable grounds to believe you have breached these Terms, submitted fraudulent or invalid documents, behaved abusively towards other families or our staff, or where we are required to do so by applicable law or court order. Termination for cause does not entitle you to any refund.
ShadiSunnah is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your interactions with other families on or off the Platform. We do not guarantee the accuracy of information provided by other families, as we verify identity only and not the full content of profiles. Our total financial liability to you shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding any claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by us.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform that cannot be resolved through our complaints process shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
For users based in the United Kingdom, the UAE, or Saudi Arabia, nothing in this clause prevents you from asserting rights available to you under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed removed from these Terms to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, Safety Guidelines, and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ShadiSunnah in relation to your use of the Platform and supersede all previous agreements, representations, and understandings between us on the same subject matter.
We may update these Terms from time to time as the platform evolves, as applicable law changes, or as our policies develop. We will give you at least 14 days notice of any material changes by email before those changes take effect. A notice will also be displayed prominently on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
